The project uses Y-DNA testing which looks at markers on the male Y chromosome to determine relationships\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,Calibri; font-size: small;\">\u2013<\/span><span style=\"font-size: small;\">men within a family will share a Y chromosome with only occasional rare changes which can be used to estimate the genetic distance between individuals.
