A descendant of this branch (#20 below) went on to found the Herefordshire branch of the family.

Thomas, son of Peter, the son of Stephen Perrot of Popton, the 5th of the Pembrokeshire Perrots, was the first of the Scotsborough line, and was mayor of Tenby in 1413.

From Barnwell: "He may have acquired the Scotsborough estate by marriage; but though whom is not mentioned in any genealogy. Among the records of the corporation of Tenby is a deed of John Chepman to Thomas Perrot and Alicia his wife; her name being included in the deed, as if a joint possessor of the estate with her husband. This Alice, therefore, may have been the heiress of the estate, through whom it descended to the Perrots. The document is dated 3 Henry V [1415]."

The deed conveys 7 acres and 3 perches [1 perch = 16.5 ft] of land, within the liberty of Tenby, consisting of 2 parcels. Drawing: The ruins of Scotsborough

2. Thomas Perrot (Peter¹).

General Notes: -Most likely the grandson of Stephen Perrot of Popton, 5th of the Pembrokeshire Perrots.

Was mayor of Tenby in 1413.

5. John Perrot (Thomas², Peter¹) was born circa 1346 in Scotsborough, Pembrokeshire, Wales and died on 6 Aug 1413 in Tenby, about age 67.

John married Isabel Varney, daughter of Robert Varney and Eleanor le Velans/Valence, circa 1371. Isabel was born circa 1350 and died in 1413 in Tenby, about age 63.

General Notes: Does not appear in the genealogy of Dwnn. Was bailiff of Tenby in 1454 and mayor in 1458. Died without issue. Sometimes went by Roland.

Robert married Alice Lacharn.

9 M iii. Jenkyn Perrot was born in Scotsborough, Pembrokeshire, Wales and died on 26 Jul 1496 in Edgecote Moore, England.

General Notes: Died 26 July 1469, during the battle of Edgecote Moore, another of the battles in the War of the Roses.

David married Jane Wogan of Wiston. Jane died ~ 1459 in Scotsborough, Pembrokeshire, Wales. Another name for Jane was Elizabeth Wogan.

General Notes: Probably had sons younger than Harry, as reference is made to Harry's 'fratres ejus'.

John married Elizabeth Elliott.

17 M ii. Harry Perrot of Caervoriog was born in Scotsborough, Pembrokeshire, Wales.

General Notes: Caervoriog somehow passed to Sir William Perrot, and from Sir William to his son Jankin Perrot.

Harry does not appear in the NLW pedigree

15. William Perrot (John⁴, Thomas³, Thomas², Peter¹) was born in Scotsborough, Pembrokeshire, Wales.

William married Clanvowe.

The child from this marriage was:

20 M i. John Perrot was born in Scotsborough, Pembrokeshire, Wales and died in 1526 in Morton-upon-Lugg, Herfordshire.

General Notes: Went on to found the Herefordshire branch of the family.

Sixth Generation (3rd Great-Grandchildren)

16. William Perrot (John of Scotsborough⁵, David⁴, John³, Thomas², Peter¹) was born in Scotsborough, Pembrokeshire, Wales and died ~ 1524 in Scotsborough, Pembrokeshire, Wales.

General Notes: May actually be the granson, rather than the son, of John Perrot- i.e, there is a generation missing.

Has a cousin William in Scotsboro, who is mentioned in the NLW Roll 135. Said William married a Clanvow and had a son John who started the branch at Morton-upon-Lugg in Herefordshire.

William married Ann Wyriott, daughter of Thomas Wyriott. Ann died in 1525. Another name for Ann was Dwynn.

William next married Unknown ap Gwylym. Unknown was born in Court Henry in Caermarthenshire.

Jane married Thomas Vaughn als Herl. Thomas was born in Tilingas, Hereford.

21. John Perrot (William⁶, John of Scotsborough⁵, David⁴, John³, Thomas², Peter¹) was born in 1525 in Scotsborough, Pembrokeshire, Wales and died by 1569 in Scotsborough, Pembrokeshire, Wales, at age 44.

General Notes: Was bailiff of Tenby in 1547, and mayor in 1557, 1565, and 1567.

John married Jane Lloyd Vaughn/Vachan, daughter of John Lloyd Vaughn/Vachan of Tenby and Alice Perrot, in 1551.

The child from this marriage was:

25 F i. Catherine Perrot died on 17 Sep 1614.

General Notes: Sole heir, and last in the line of the Scotsborough branch of Perrots. Conveyed Scotsborough to her husband.

Catherine married John ap Rhys in 1582. John was born in Richardstone. Another name for John was John Price.

General Notes: Was bailiff of Tenby in 1548.
