TERRE HAUTE, Ind., Sept. 29.- Will Parrott, fomerly assistant Vandalia freight agent here and for several years freight agent for the Pennsylvania lines at Kansas City, was murdered and robbed early today in that city according to a telegram received here by his brother-in-law, Jacob Friezi a member of the board of public safety. The telegram gave no details further than that Parrott's pockets had been rifled and his skull crushed. Mrs. Parrott, formerly Miss Pearl White, of Sullivan, near here, is visiting in Sullivan, and was notified of her husband's death this afternoon.

Moses Parrott died at the Union hospital, Tuesday night, from injuries received while at work at the Richard Burden Mills, on Oct. 5. Mr. Parrott was working about a heavy pulley, which caught his clothing and hurled him a distance of several yards. He was taken to the hospital in a serious condition, and he failed to recover. Medical Examiner Blanchette said that death was due to an accident.

Parrott was born in Ausable, New York, but had lived here more than 50 years. He was a machinist by trade. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Eugent Duclos, from whose home at 65 Locust street the funeral will take place, and Mrs. Adeline Sullivan.

She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Benedict. Louise was born in North Dighton, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Carl & Mary Louise (Leonard) Parrott. She was a Graduate of Somerset High School class of 1941 and then attended Thibodeau Business School in Fall River. Mrs.

Benedict worked as an office clerk at H.P. Hood & Sons, Ice Cream Division and then as a Chief Civil Service Clerk in the Job Planning, Progress, and Costs Section of the Maintenance Office, Newport Naval Torpedo Station, Newport, Rhode Island from 1942-1944.

Constance was a Part-Time Personal News Reporter for "The Somerset Spectator", Somerset during the 1950's.

Besides being devoted to her husband and sons, her interests included quilting, braiding rugs, collecting lighthouses, reading biographies, crossword puzzles, and the Boston Red Sox.

Survivors are three sons - Joseph R. Benedict and his wife Jane of Onset, MA; James Benedict and his wife Lynn of Concord, NH; and Matthew F.

Benedict and his wife Cynthia of SouthBend, IN; a sister: Dorothy Perry of Somerset; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Robert J. Benedict and sister of the late Carl and Donald Parrott.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 9am from the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton Street, Somerset, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10am in Saint Patrick Church, 306 South Street, Somerset.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend, burial to follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery Somerset.

General Notes: KITTY HAWK - Cmdr. Carl Leonard Parrott, U.S. Coast Guard retired, passed away Oct. 5, 2006, at Albemarle Hospital. Cmdr. Parrott was born May 27, 1922, in Somerset, Mass., to the late Carl Vivian and the late Mary Louise Parrott.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Etta Frances Hooper Parrott of the home; his daughters, Carletta Parrott Green of Kitty Hawk and Nancy Parrott Blount and husband John of Spring Hill, Tenn.; sons, Carl Leonard Parrott Jr. and wife Molly of Cincinnati, Carl Elroy Parrott of High Point, N.C., and Leonard Francis Parrott of Trinity, N.C.; sisters, Constance Benedict of Concord, N.H., and Dorothy Perry and husband Oliver of Somerset, Mass.; brother, Donald Perry and wife Beatrice of Somerset; and 10 grandchildren.

He graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn., in 1943. His first assignment was with the Coast Guard Landing Craft Flotilla Four at Bizerte, Tunisia. From there he participated in the invasions of Sicily and Salerno, Italy. In early 1944, the flotilla moved to the south coast of England and landed troops on D-Day, June 6, 1944, at Normandy Utah Beach. Then it continued to ferry troops and supplies to the front until land based supply lines were opened.

He graduated from flight training at Pensacola, Fla., in 1947 and helicopter school in 1952. He served on search and rescue operations on the East and West Coast and in Alaska, including two years on International Ice Patrol in Argentia, Newfoundland. Cmdr. Parrott served as commanding officer on an ocean station vessel positioned at the midpoint of the San Francisco to Honolulu air route to assist any airliner with an emergency far from land.

After retirement from the U.S. Coast Guard, he worked for ITT until 1980 and after retirement from ITT, he moved to Kitty Hawk. He considered that decision the smartest one he ever made. He served as a town councilman of Kitty Hawk for 11 years, as a chairman of the Dare County Democratic Party for three years and on many appointed commissions and committees.

He was a member of the Outer Banks Presbyterian Church, The American Legion Post 26, Manteo, N.C., and helped start the Outer Banks Chapter of the Retired Officers Association.

A memorial service will be conducted at Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo, Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Spottswood Graves and the Rev. Robert Pitsch officiating. General Notes: Carletta Parrott Green, 59, of Powells Point, died Monday June 4, 2012, in Norfolk, VA. Carletta, was born in San Diego, CA and was a real estate loan accountant and worked for over fifteen years at Barrier Island Station.

Carletta was a devoted mother, dedicated daughter, beloved sister and aunt. She loved hand quilting, photography and gardening. Carletta loved her parakeets "Birdie" and "Budgie" and her beagle "Bell".

She was the daughter of Etta Hooper Parrott of Kitty Hawk and the late Carl Parrott.

Besides her mother surviving are two sons, Carl "Linden" Green of Orlando, FLA and Daniel Green of Sanford, NC; one sister, Nancy Blount of Thomasville, NC and two brothers, Roy Parrott of High Point,NC and Leonard Parrott of Trinity, NC. and former husband Ross Green. Carletta was predeceased by her son Rowan Green.

55. Frederick Joseph Parrott Sr. (Moses Alfred⁴, Alexander³, Antoine², Antoine¹) was born in 1911 in Pawtucket, Providence Co., Rhode Island and died on 31 Jul 2000 in Lady Lake, Lake Co., Florida, at age 89.

General Notes: Frederick J. Parrott Sr., 89, of Lady Lake, Fla., a former longtime resident of Drexel Hill, Upper Darby, died July 31 in Florida.

Born in Pawtucket, R.I., he was reared in Worcester, Mass. He lived in Drexel Hill before moving to Florida in 1987.

Mr. Parrott was in national sales management, associated with several companies in the health and beauty care industry, including Warren Corp. and Cheesebrough-Ponds. In 1969 he formed Parrott Sales Agency with his son, covering the New England area.

He was a former member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church. He was a charter member of St. Timothy's Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 10034.

Mr. Parrott was the son of the late Alfred M. and Josephine Johansson Parrott. He was the widower of Hazel B. Quilliam Parrott and the brother of the late Selma Beaudry, Edna Wilder and Warren Parrott.

General Notes: SOMERSET - Donald M. Parrott, 83, of Elm Street, Somerset, died Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. A nearly lifelong resident of the Town of Somerset, Mr. Parrott was the husband of Beatrice (Arbour) Parrott.

A U.S. Navy veteran, serving during WWII as a Seaman Second Class, Mr. Parrott was a supervisor in the Loan Department of the Somerset Credit Union for many years. He was a parishioner of St. Louis DeFrance Church. In his retirement he enjoyed flower gardening.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Michael Parrott of Spokane, Washington, Donald Parrott of Bethany, Connecticut, and William Parrott of Somerset; and two sisters, Constance Benedict of Concord, New Hampshire, and Dorothy Perry of Somerset. He was the grandfather of seven; the great-grandfather of three; and the uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Susan Branco and the brother of the late Carl Parrott.
