  • 1. Rev. Harold Ernest Parrott, son of Ernest Robert Brimble Parrott and Alice Mary Parrott, was born on 9 Jul 1906 in Bristol, Gloucestershire, England and died on 31 Oct 1993 in Turlock, Stanislaus Co., California at age 87. {FGID: 15845721}

    General Notes: The Rev. Harold Ernest Parrot, 87, of Turlock died Sunday at Pleasant Care Convalescent Hospital.

    Rev. Parrott was a native of Bristol, England. He lived in Turlock three years. He was a priest of the Episcopal Church; locally he was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Rotary International. He belonged to the Canadian Legion.

    He is survived by his wife, Selina Parrott of Turlock; children, the Rev. Edgar Parrott of Turlock, Harold Parrott of Phoenix, Mary Lee of Chatsworth and Dorothy Rubenstein of Diamond Bar; and a brother, Victor Parrott, of Barstople, England.

    A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. today at St. Francis Episcopal Church. A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at Cypress Hill Memorial Park, Petaluma. Allen Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

    Remembrances may be made to the St. Francis Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, 915 E. Main St., Turlock 95380.

    Harold married Selina Anne Wiliams on 22 Jun 1932 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Selina was born on 21 Jan 1904 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and died on 5 Dec 1993 in California at age 89. {FGID: 15845723}

    General Notes: The Reverend Edgar George Parrott, 78, died peacefully October 30, 2013 in Waltham, MA.

    He is survived by his son, Daniel Parrott and wife Paige Parrott of Turlock, CA, and daughter Sarah Parrott and husband Edward DeLuca of Waltham, MA. He is also survived by grandchildren Catherine Gilsig and Jack Parrott. Ed served as Rector of St. Francis Episcopal Church in Turlock from 1990 -1999.

    Ed was born in Nipawin, Saskatchewan, Canada, and attended high school in Baker, OR, and Walla Walla, WA. He earned a BA in history (1957) at Whitman College, WA, and an M.Div (1960) at Church Divinity School of the Pacific, in Berkeley, CA. He also earned MA degrees in History and Marriage & Family Counseling. Ed served parishes in Pasadena, San Jose, Pinole, Redlands, Fresno, Turlock, and Bakersfield, CA, Fort Wayne, IN and Lynnfield, MA.

    In addition to his pastoral work, Ed was a well-regarded specialist in chemical dependency counseling and intervention. Ed travelled extensively in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. He was an accomplished musician, and avid reader of history and solver of industrial strength crossword puzzles.

    Ed was a masterful cook, an award-winning long-distance runner, consummate gardener and proud grandfather. His energy and spirit is fondly remembered by family and friends across the country and the world.

    Edgar married Beatrice Schellenberg on 4 Apr 1964 in San Jose, Santa Clara Co., California. The marriage ended in divorce on 14 May 1980. Beatrice was born on 6 Aug 1937 and died on 6 Jul 2011 in Turlock, Stanislaus Co., California at age 73.

    Marriage Notes: A home in Albany will be established by Beatrice Schellenberg and The Rev. Edgar G. Parrott who were married yesterday morning in the St. Phillips Episcopal Church in San Jose. The Rev. H.E. Parrott of Sacramento, father of the bridegroom, performed the double ring ceremony.

    The bride, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Schllenberg of Zurich, Switzerland, has been making her home in Albany. She was graduated from highschool and college there. The bride was given in marriage by the Rev. Charles Carroll.

    Parrott, the son of the Rev. and Mrs. Parrott, has been making his home in Berkeley. He was gradauted (sic) from Walla Walla High School in Washington and Whitman College where he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon. He was also graduated from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific.
