    George married Elizabeth. Elizabeth was born calculated 1850 in France and died on 28 Jan 1903 in Farmington, Hartford Co., Connecticut, about age 53.

    Notes: Mrs. Elizabeth Parrott, wife of George Parrott, died Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock after an illness of several months from a complication of diseases. She was born of in France of Huguenot stock and moved to Colebrook River thirty-one years ago. There she married Victor Pierce. He died a couple of years later. She leaves her husband and four of their six children, also a son by her first marriage, Charles Pierce. The funeral will be held to-day at her late home on New Britain avenue at 2 p.m. Rev. W.S. Manship will officiate. Burial will be in Center Cemetery.

    Notes: UNIONVILLE, Sept. 1 - the body of Louis J. Parrott, 73, of 33 New Britain Ave. was found today by workmen under debris on New Britain Avenue about a quarter-mile from his home. Five persons in town are unaccounted for and listed as missing in the flood.

    Mr. Parrott refused to be taken from his home by the rescuiers during the flood. Later the hose was wrecked and he was swept away. The roof of the house was found not far from the body.

    He was born in Colebrook Nov. 2, 1881, and lived in Unionville most of his life. He was a conductor on the "New Haven" Railroad for 47 years, retiring two years ago.

    He leaves his wife, Mrs. Clara O'Keefe Parrott; four sons, George Parrott of West Springfield, Mass., Louis E. Parrott and John L. Parrott of Unionville and William J. Parrott of Mamaroneck, N.Y.; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Corbridge and Mrs. Adrian LaBell of Unionville and Mrs. Robert Schissier, Bristol; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Jaques and Mrs. Emily Dorman of Unionville; 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a step brother, Charles Pierce of Roxbury.

    The funeral will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, Unionville. The scott Funeral Home, 20 Center st., Bristol, has charge of arrangements.

John served in the U.S. Army in the 3rd Infantry Division in the European Theatre during World War II. He was a member of Granby Memorial Post #5847 V.F.W. and the Ring Mountain Hunt Club. He leaves a daughter, Judith Guerin of Bristol; a stepson, Donald Fortune; and 11 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Gerard Fortune, a son-in-law, Ronald Guerin and his brothers, William, Louis and George Parrott and sisters, Ann and Grace.     He was born in Unionville, Conn., the son of Julius and Fanny (Decker) Parrott. He lived in Peterborough for 65 years.

    He was a selectman for three years and served as chairman on the War, Price and Rationing Board during World War II.

    He managed the A&P Stores for many years before becoming the owner of Peterborough Frozen Food Locker Plant. After his retirement he worked part-time at Steele's Bookstore.

    He was predeceased by his wife, Doretta Parrott, and a son, Raymond Parrott. He is survived by his son, Charles Parrott of Concord, Mass.; two daughters, Carolyn Parrott of Hopkinton and Rebecca Ames of Franklin; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

    Notes: FRANKLIN - Rebecca "Becky" P. (Parrott) Ames, 84, a longtime resident of Pine Street in Franklin died Wednesday, September 1, 2011 at The Golden Crest in Franklin following a period of failing health.

    Becky was born in Peterborough, June 18, 1927, daughter of Raymond and Doretta (Lambert) Parrott. She spent her youth and schooled in Peterborough. Following graduation Becky went on to the Kathleen Dell Business School in Boston. She later lived in Contoocook before moving to Franklin in 1968. She worked for over 20 years at Franklin Regional Hospital, beginning as a medical transcriptionist and later as quality assurance coordinator. Becky served on the Franklin Regional Hospital Board of Trustees. Following her retirement she served as president and treasurer of the Franklin Hospital Auxiliary. For many years she was instrumental in managing the "Lights of Memory" at the hospital. She was a longtime volunteer and treasurer of the former Franklin Area Chapter of the American Red Cross. She enjoyed spending summers with family at their camp on Sunset Lake in Greenfield.

    Her family includes, her husband of 60 years: Charles "Fred" Ames of The Golden Crest in Franklin; daughter: Sally A. Michel and her husband Robert of Hopkinton; sons: David W. Ames and his wife Sherry of Franklin, Peter C. Ames of Gilford; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother: Charles Parrott of Concord, Mass.; a sister: Carolyn Parrott of Hopkinton; nieces and nephews.

    Calling hours will be held Tuesday, September 6th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road in Tilton.

    A committal service and burial will be Wednesday, September 7th, at 1 p.m. at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 D. W. Highway in Boscawen, NH.

    WHATLEY, Mass., June 19- William Parrott, 19, of 276 Elm street, Keene, N.H., was killed today in the collision of his automobile and milk tank truck. Truck drivr Archie Jenkins, 36, of Ashfield, escaped injury.

    Jenkins said he was unsuccessful in steering his truck away from the impending crash, when he said, the northbound car veered into the southbound lane in which the truck was traveling. The truck, toppling over on the Parrott vehicle, sheared off its left side. Milk from the truck owned by C.W. Ward, Inc., of Sherburne Falls, flooded the highway.

    Notes: Joanne P. McLellan 81, a lifelong resident of Keene, passed away peacefully at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Cheshire Medical Center in Keene on Thursday, February 6, 2020 after a period of declining health.

    Joanne was born in Keene, NH on July 24, 1938 the daughter of Earl M. and Cecile F (Hamlin) Wall. She grew up in Keene attended St. Joseph School and was a 1956 graduate of Keene High School.

    Following high school and her marriage to Bill Parrott she moved to Norfolk, VA where Bill was stationed with the U.S. Navy. When Bill went out to sea, Joanne returned to Keene and was employed by Peerless Ins. Co. Bill died tragically in a highway accident in 1959.

    She later married her second husband, Blaine McLellan the father of her two daughters.

    When her girls were grown, Joanne became employed by Keene School District SAU 29 and became the administrative assistant to the Keene High School Gold House Administrator, Edward Bourassa. While at Keene High she accompanied students on trips to England for several years. She still corresponded with people she met there.

    Joanne loved to help organize events, especially school events and was active in all of her high school's class reunions. She was a gifted artist who loved to paint and presented some of her works to area art shows. She also taught art classes at the Keene Vocational Training and Technology Center and at Craft Cottage.

    Joanne was active in the community and was a member of the Parish of the Holy Spirit and attended St. Bernard's Church.

    She is survived by her two daughters; Deborah Mansfield of Limerick, ME and Patricia "Penny" LaChance and her husband Lee of St. Albans, VT; Her six grandchildren; Meaghan LaChance (Dan), Erica Pierce and her husband Adam, Blaine LaChance, Travis Mansfield and his wife Rachel , Zachary Mansfield and Katrina Mansfield. Two great-grandchildren; Harper and Ozzie. She is also survived by her sister Jean Windsor and her husband Raymond of Punta Gorda, FL; a niece and a nephew, Amy Riviera and her husband Joe; Scott Williams and his wife Mary Beth. Her cousin and lifelong friend, Sandra Mispel and her husband Bruce. She is also survived by two god-daughters Wendy Mispel -John and Tammy Pratt.

    The family is very grateful for the loving care and friendship she received from her close friends, Carol and Peter Blaisdell as well as neighbors and many of her former classmates.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 10:30am at St. Bernard Church, 185 Main St. Keene, NH. Her husband Edward Muchmore Jr. died in 1974 and a daughter Althea Veighey died in 2010. She leaves a son Edward Muchmore III and his wife Dorothy of Westbrook, ME; a daughter Nancy A. Muchmore and her companion James Van Dyke of Feeding Hills; sister Cheryl Donatini and her husband Daniel of Feeding Hills; son-in-law Richard Veighey of Feeding Hills sister-in-law Teresa Parrott of West Springfield; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a great great grandson. Besides her husband and daughter, Natalie was predeceased by her siblings Dede White, Buddy, Georgie and Mickey Parrott.     Raymond C. Parrott, president of Par-Cos Associates, an international management consulting firm, died May 30 at Youville Rehabilitation Center in Cambridge.

    Born in Jaffrey, N.H., Mr. Parrott worked for several presidential and gubernatorial administration and was a consultant to major corporations and international agencies.

    In the 1960s, he was director of the international division of the Peace Corps, serving under President John F. Kennedy and President Lyndon B. Johnson. He directed programs in Africa and managed developmental activities.

    In the 1970s and 1980s, he was executive director of the Presidential Advisory Council on Vocational Education, serving President Jimmy Carter and President Ronald Reagan. He was also appointed executive director of the Massachusetts Governor's Advisory Council on Vocational Education.

    Mr. Parrott began and ended his career in management consulting. He worked for Arthur D. Little in Cambridge on projects ranging from economic development studies for the governor of West Virginia to corporate marketing campaigns and transportation economic models and US manufacturers and financial institutions.

    Mr. Parrott was a resource expert for the US Department of State, the US Secretary of Human Services and several congressional and legisaltive committees on international and human resources issues. He was a fund-raiser for several charitable institutions, including the Concord Youth Group and the United Way.

    He was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Trinity College in Hartford and was awarded the Secretary of the Navy Medal of Outstanding Sportsmanship and Athletic Achievement. He graduated as a Clayton Fellow from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy of Tufts University.

    Mr. Parrott leaves his wife, Athena (Costopoulos); two sons, Jonathan of Seattle and Christopher of Tampa, Fla.; two daughters, Judy of Tampa and Suzanne Fox of Scarborough, Maine; two sisters, Carolyn Parrott of Concord N.H., and Rebecca Ames of Franklin, N.H.; and a brother, Charles of Concord, Mass.     After the ceremony the couple was driven in a white Rolls-Royce to the reception at the Downtown Club atop of the State Street Bank which has a panoramic view of the city of Boston and its harbor. Dance music, provided by the Bouzoukee Fantasy, was enjoyed by guests from New England, New York, and Greece during a dinner of Greek roast lamb, champagne and melon balls on dining tables decorated with fresh cut purple delphiniums floating in champagne glasses. The cutting of the three-tiered wedding cake, topped with fresh blueberries and strawberries, followed.

    The bride wore a Victorian champagne ivory wedding gown and a veil both trimmed with Alencon lace, and she carried a bouquet of twelve red and three yellow roses held with a purple ribbon. Despina Karavides, maid of honor, was gowned in turquoise and carried purple delphinium centered by three yellow roses; Mrs. Manuela Bartiromo, the koumbara, was in purple and had a red rose corsage. Winthrop W. Faulkner was Mr. Parrott's best man.

    An alumna of Girls' Latin, Boston University and the Harvard Graduate School, the bride was recently with the Massachusetts Department of Education and is currently a consultant in Washington, D.C. Mr. Parrott is the Executive Director of the President's National Advisory Council on Vocational Education and was graduated from Trinity College (ct.) and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.He and his bride are now residing in this city after a European honeymoon.

    Born in Port Chester, N.Y., on April 24, 1954, he was the son of the late William J. Parrott Sr. and Edna May (Miller) Parrott. Bill grew up in Mamaroneck, N.Y., and played hockey and lacrosse during his high school years. He was a longtime Naugatuck resident and retired from Rex Forge Co. in Plantsville.

    He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, gardening, antiques and tag sale shopping. Bill also loved watching old movies and especially westerns and "Star Trek."

    In addition to his loving wife Teri, he is survived by his children, William J. Parrott III of Naugatuck and Jessica Parrott of Plainville; his sisters, Emma Von-Zehle and her husband Bill, of Ridgefield, and Polly Parrott of New York; his sister-in-law Lisa Kochis; and brothers-in-law David Kochis, and Andrew Kochis and his husband Bruce Manilla; and several nieces, nephews and close friends.

He honorably served his country while stationed in Germany with the Army during the Vietnam War. After his military service, George continued to serve his community as both a Shriner and a Mason, often volunteering his time and talents. In his free time, he loved being a member of several bowling leagues and finding time to go fishing. George especially loved spending time on Cape Cod with his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 30 years, Maureen (Yarsley) Parrott, his children Eva Pelter (Michael) of Agawam, Richard Parrott of E. Longmeadow and Suzanne Belden (Joseph) of E. Longmeadow; his siblings Dennis Parrott (Andrea) of Feeding Hills, Linda Linville (John) of New Hampshire and Gary Parrott (Grace) of North Carolina; his grandchildren Nicholas, Rikki-Ann, Sydney and Riley. After his discharge from the Navy, he went to work as a mechanic for many years with West Side Auto Body and Rocky's Wheel and Frame. He was a member of the Verdi Club and American Legion in West Springfield. Michael loved to work on cars, especially his Chevelle's, Chevy Truck's and his "Coupe". His wife Sharon died in 1992. He leaves a son Jason and his wife Corena, a daughter Joyelle Dietz and her husband Shane; his mother Teresa (Crowley) Parrott; two sisters Christine Parrott and Sandra Normand; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
