General Notes: QUANTICO, Md., May 18 - Mrs. Theresa Parrott, 83, a resident of Quantico for may years, died Sunday morning at a nursing home in Delmar after an illness of two weeks.
The widow of William Edward Parrott, she is survivied by four children, Mrs. Ray Phillips, Baltimore, Mrs. Jay French, William R., and George E. Parrott, all of Quantico; eight grandchilren and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted today at the Quantico Methodist Church by the the Rev. Franck Buckley. Interment in the Quantico Cemetery.

Born in Quantico, he was the son of the late William Reddick Parrott and Lillie Woolford Parrott.
Mr. Parrott was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II. He retired in 1984 from Delmarva Power & Light after 46 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Charlotta Warfield Parrott; four children, William Wesley Hastings and his wife, Norma, of Seaford, Ronnie Stedman Hastings of Salisbury, Karen Hastings Potter of Baltimore and Smiley W. "JR" Hastings Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of Salisbury; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a niece.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen P. Hastings.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be the Rev. Joe Lynch. Interment will be in Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury.

His wife, Mrs. Ethel Bradley Parrott, died in 1928. Mr. Parrott was born in Wicomico County and was a son of the late Edward and Theresa Parrott.
Surviving, in addition to his daughter, are two sons, Harry L. Parrott, New Port Richie, Fla., and G.E. Parrott Jr., Quantico; three grandchildren; two great-grandchilren; and two sisters, Mrs. Jay French, Quantico, and Mrs. Ray Phillips, Baltimore.

OLD TOWN - Harry Lenord Parrott of Old Town died Thursday at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. He was 78.
Mr. Parrott was a painting contractor. He was born in New Port Richey and moved from Quantico, Md., to Old Town 21 years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Parrott of Old Town; a brother, Edward Parrott of Quantico; and his caregiver, Debbie Sullivan of Old Town.

He was a United States Navy Veteran having served in WWII. He was employed at H.S. Todd and left to form his own business formerly known as Eastern Shore Candy and Tobacco where he formed many lifelong friends. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Quantico. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working in his vegetable garden.
He is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Trudy and Gary Mister of Hebron and Dawn and Wayne Cook of Vienna; four grandchildren, Juanita Weber and her fiancée, Lynn Holliday of Cambridge, Mark Darby and wife, Laurie of Hebron, Rick Parrott and wife Teresa of Rockville, Eddie Parrott and wife, Jill and Lisa Parrott all of Salisbury; ten great-grandchildren: Gage Weber, Emily and Evan Darby, Mike, Michelle, Matthew, Aaron, Nathan, Evan and Peyton Parrott; great-great-grandchild, Tucker and several nieces and nephews. Quantico-Madalyn Bailey Parrott of Quantico passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born in Quantico on April 5, 1927, where she had lived her entire life, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Loran and Marian Bailey. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Quantico, continuing to attend church regularly each Sunday until the church closed.
Madalyn worked many years in the payroll departments at the former Manhattan Shirt Factory and Sealy Manufacturing until retirement. She made many lifelong friends throughout her places of employment.
She is survived by her husband, George Edward Parrott of Quantico; two daughters and their husbands, Trudy and Gary Mister of Hebron and Dawn and Wayne Cook of Vienna; four grandchildren: Juanita Weber and her fiancée, Lynn Holliday of Cambridge, Mark Darby and wife, Laurie of Hebron, Rick Parrott and wife Teresa of Rockville, Eddie Parrott and wife, Jill and Lisa Parrott all of Salisbury; ten great-grandchildren: Gage Weber, Emily and Evan Darby, Mike, Michelle, Matthew, Aaron, Nathan, Evan and Peyton Parrott; great-great-grandchild, Tucker and two nephews, David Bailey and Dean Bailey, and their families. General Notes: SALISBURY, MD-Albert "Lee" Parrott went to be with the Lord October 30, 2014. Born September 13, 1944 to George "Edward" and Violet Marie Parrott of Quantico, MD. He lived his childhood years in Quantico, loving the woods, creek and all of God's creatures. At an early age he learned compassion, caring and giving from his mother; Honesty and strength from his father.
He attended schools in Wicomico County, graduating with a technical degree. He furthered his education with management credits from the University of South Carolina and the Dale Carnegie Course.
He was married in 1964 to the late Betty Marie Mitchell Parrott.
He was a lover of anything mechanical and enjoyed creating things with his hands, As a young adult he was a member of the band "V-I-P's" that played in and around Ocean City. He enjoyed the guitar, all types of music, painting and especially fast cars. He will be greatly missed by all of the local car dealers he visited quite often.
Lee spent over 45 years in the apparel business starting at Watson Shirt Co. that later became Gant Shirtmaker. He continued at Powellville Garment, Parksley Apparel and lastly at Yale Sportswear. He enjoyed the many memories of the wonderful people that had known and respected. He was a past social member of the American Legion and current member of the Salisbury Moose 654.
He is survived by his companion Gloria of Salisbury; daughter, Lisa Parrott, that was his most prized gift from God. His sons and their families, Rick and Teresa Parrott and their children Mike, Michelle and Matthew; great- grandchild, Tucker; Eddie and Jill Aaron, Nathan, Evan, Peyton; father and mother, Edward and Madalyn Parrott; sisters, Trudy Mister, Dawn Cooper, and their families.
He loved animals and had many over the years, most recent, Cody, Pepper has past, Little is still with us. He feeds and gives love to all the stray cats and had given names for all of them.
A graveside service will be held at Wicomico Memorial Park on November 4, 2014 at 2:00 PM.

General Notes: It is with great sadness that our family announces the death of Rick Parrott, 63, son of Betty Parrott and Ludwig Kupser.
A James M. Bennett ('76), Salisbury University ('83) and Asbury Theological Seminary ('87) alumni proudly served as a United States Air Force Pararescue Specialist (active duty) and U.S. Army Paramedic (reserve duty) before his civil career as a Human Resources Manager and part time pastor.
The proud father of Michael, Michelle, and Matthew had a passion for sports and could often be found coaching or rooting for them in his younger years; while cheering for his beloved Baltimore Orioles and Dallas Cowboys later in life.
He enjoyed traveling with his family and received great joy spending time with he and Teresa's grandchildren - Kateri, Tucker, Reighlynn, Ozzi, and Vaden.
He leaves behind a brother Ed Parrott, in-laws Ewing and Gail Timmons, cousins Sherry Massey and Kimberly Brown-Marshall, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents, stepfather Lee Parrott, sister Lisa Parrott, and niece Kathryn Parrott.
Donations can be made in his memory to the National Kidney Foundation or American Heart Association.
