Born in Darlington, S.C., Mr. Parrott had been a Peninsula resident for several years. He was a member of Wesley Grove Unitedd Church of Christ and Padora Lodge No. 2, IBPOE of W.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Matilde A. Parrott, two daughters, Mrs. Clara Lee Draper of Little Rock, Ark., and Mrs. Maria Henderson Turner of Springfield, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Emily Booker and Mrs. Pauline Vega, both of Darlington, Mrs. Mamie Caster of Baltimore and Mrs. Bernice Shipley of Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother, Amos Parrott of Gibson, N.C.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Wesley Grove United Church of Christ by the Rev. G. Wesley Raney III. Burial will be in Pleasant Shade Cemetery. A wake service will be held from 7 to 8 tonight in O.H. Smith and Son Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at noon on Monday, and the family and friends will assemble at the residence by 1:15 p.m.

Mrs. Brown was a beloved member of the Darlington community and participated in a number of activities including the Elks. She was a devoted parishioner of St. James United Methodist Church for more than 80 years.Survivors are: her sister, Mrs. Pearl Funderburk (Vance); a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Patterson Brown (Charles); her sons, Mr. James Patterson (Rose) and Mr. Michael Patterson (Mary); five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a great-great- grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 12:00 o'clock noon Wednesday until the hour of the service.

General Notes: Marcus C. Parrott, of Pleasantville, New Jersey, made his transition to be with the Lord on Friday, July 13, 2012. He was born May 9, 1937, in Darlington, South Carolina, the son of the late Lizzy Parrott.
Marcus attended Mayo High School of Darlington, later moving to Atlantic City to seek employment. There he joined the United States Navy, studying brick masonry through the Armed Forces program. Receiving an honorable discharge, Marcus returned to Atlantic City where doors of opportunity opened. There he was employed by various companies. Retiring after many years from Peterson Brick Work, he became employed with Foreign Imports, working there until his untimely death.
In addition to his mother, he is predeceased by his daughter, the late Angie Harewood Springs.
Marcus met his soulmate, Patricia Elam, and they were married for 22 years after a long courtship.
In his passing, he will be truly missed as he leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Patricia; grandchildren, Nakia and Khalleef Harewood; his stepdaughter, Elizabeth Elam; his grandchildren, Devyn, DeMarquis, Darnel, Diamond, Da'Lyn, Demetreus, and Destiny; his brother, Therlo Bristow (Wilnet); brothers-in-law, Robert Elam (Barbara) and Royce Hart (Darlene); sisters-in-law, Carolyn Joann Elam-Crisden (Louie), Debra and Dorothy Hart, and Louise Elam; special cousins, Saundra Stephenson, LaMaurice Burgin, Celestine Holland, Cheryl Hassan, Jerome Parrott, and Sari Wilkerson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

(Elam), - 73, of Pleasantville, was called home Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Pomona, after a courageous fight with an unexpected illness. God saw fit to call her from labor here to her Heavenly home. Patricia was employed by Stockton University for the past eight years. She was born October 29, 1944, in Atlantic City to the late Elizabeth and Royce Elam. Patricia attended Atlantic City Public Schools and was a lifelong area resident. In her too short time with us, Pat touched so many lives with her kindness, quick wit, and heart-felt laughs. She especially loved cooking and entertaining her family and friends. No family event was complete until "Aunt Pat" - as many lovingly called her - had put her seal of approval on it. We are forever indebted to our mother, grandmother sister, aunt, and friend for her ceaseless dedication and support. Eternally, she will remain in our hearts. General Notes: Ronald "Ronnie" Cerenzo Parrott, age 74, passed away at his home in Los Angeles, Calif., on November 17, 2020. He was born on December 28, 1945, to Ida Bennett and Cerenzo Parrott in Grenada, Miss.. Ronnie spent his formative years in Akron, Ohio where he graduated from Canton McKinley High School, and attended Akron University. He was an alumnus of California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, Calif. and spent much of his career as an optical salesman and real estate agent. Ronnie was a world traveler, dog lover, and enjoyed attending cultural and sporting events. He is survived by three daughters, Ronette, Sha'Ronn, and Bridgette, six grandchildren, A'eron, Kara, Julia, Chy'na, Anna, and Lauryn, and a host of relatives and friends.
