The earliest known ancestor for this family is a John T. Parrott born in Georgia ca. 1856. His burial place is unknown, but his son is buried in Hopewell Cemetery, Tyrone, Fayette County, Georgia. Francis Marion Parrott (b 1857) and his descendants are also buried there, suggesting that John T and Francis Marion might have been brothers. If so, this family would be another branch of the Richard of Middlesex group.

NOTE added 17 Dec 2016: Francis Marion and John T turn out to be 1st cousins. Based on DNA and paper records available, this group has now been merged into the Curtis branch of the Richard of Middlesex family tree.
