William Parrott (1806-1876), founder of the US branch in North America, emigrated from Lincolnshire, England, circa 1850 and settled in Ontario. His son, John (1833-1931) moved to Sanilac Co., Michigan. Most of his descendants are still in Michigan. At least one branch is still in Ontario, but it is not known how the branches are connected.

This family is small to medium in size. Various branches are floating around the Internet, but this is the first public attempt to reconstruct the entire tree. Some details still need verification, so use this information very carefully.

After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving as a First Class Sergeant in the Korean War, 2nd Division 38th Infantry Regiment. He enjoyed giving back to his community by volunteering with local senior centers and the Food Bank.
