This is the only P-rr-tt family known to belong to this haplogroup, ie, have this type of DNA. William Parrott (1806-1876), founder of the US branch in North America, emigrated from Lincolnshire, England, circa 1850 and settled in Ontario. His son, John (1833-1931) moved to Sanilac Co., Michigan. Most of his descendants are still in Michigan. At least 1 family branch is still in Canada, but it is not known how the families are connected. In general, the immigrant generations are poorly documented at this point. |
