Several Parrotts have lived in Sevier and Jefferson counties for the past century. Here are 3 families tha trace to 3 founding members, at least 2 of which may not related to each other. For the most part, the present paper trail is not complete enough to make any assignments. Nevertheless, the proximity to Cocke Co., Tennessee, and the presence of other Parrotts in Sevier who are descended from the Parrottsville Parrotts, suggests that at least one of the 3 lines listed on this page also comes from the Parrottsville Parrotts. This is an attempt to collate the available information, so as to aid future research. DNA testing is needed before any conclusions can be made. Anyone with information on these families please write. |
