    • This is one of 'Third Wave' of Parrott families, who arrived throughout the 1800s. Its patriarch is Samuel, who was 20 Apr 1814 in Hever, Kent, England, and moved his family to Oregon after after sailing around Cape Horn sometime between 1853 and 1857 Once in Oregon, Samuel's son, Thomas, became prominent in the local music scene, and is sons became prominent in the the national baseball scene. Thomas W. Parrott was a baseball player for the Chicago Colts, Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Browns. Jiggs, his other son, played for the Chicago Cubs. Current surname spellings = Parrott, Parrett & Manor.
