"Mainly William Parrott who was the son of John Parrott who lived in Columbia Co. Florida. This was the only Parrott who would have been the logical father of William Henry Parrott whose brother John Frank Parrott lists his father as William. There are few records from Columbia Co. as the court house burned three times.
Starting with William Henry Parrott, whose father is William Parrott. I was actually not sure of the father's name, but William Henry Parrotts brother, John Frank Parrott's death certificate lists his father as William Parrott and mother as Missouri Godwin. Another of William Henry's son's John, claims that he was named after his Grandfather. This is why I have always believe that William J. Parrott on the 1850 census whose father was John Parrott and mother Mitty or Fatima Gibson, were his father. Based upon two sources, I am saying that William Henry Parrott's father was William Parrott and probably William John Parrott.

Dolores S. Parrott, 48, of 1200 W. Jefferson St., Brooksville, died Monday (Oct. 18, 1976), apparently of a heart attack, local medical officials said.
Mrs. Parrott was principal of Brooksvile Junior High School sicne 1969 and has been a teacher since 1948.
A native and lifelong resident of Hernando County, she was a graduate of Florida State University and the University of Florida.
She was a Methodist, member of Eastern Star, Junior Service League and the National Associations of Secondary School Principals.
She is survived by two sons, G. Oliver and Silas Edwin Parrott, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Troy Scarborough Sr., all of Brooksville; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Batson, Trenton, Fla., Mrs Bubbles Mears, and a brother, Troy Scarborough Jr., both of Brooksville.
Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at the First Methodist Church, Brooksville, with Rev. Robert H. Fox officiating.
Burial will be in Brooksville Cemetery. Turner Home for Funeral, Brooksville, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Parrott, a lifetime resident of Dixie County, was a supervisor for Hudson Pulp and Paper for many years. He went on to become a timber buyer for Suwannee Lumber Company from 1975 until 1988. He served as a County Commissioner for Dixie County between 1964 and 1968. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, especially turkey hunting, and growing a garden. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son Ronnie Parrott of Cross City; brother, Eddie Parrott of Cross City; sisters, Faye Smith of Cross City, Shirley Douglas of Cross City and Dorothy Morgan of Parry, Florida. He is preceded in death by his wife Edwena Corbin Parrott, son William Ray Parrott and parents Henry and Johnnie R. Parrott.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Downing officiating. Interment followed at Cross City Cemetery.

Joseph married Carol Boland in 1953. Carol was born on 22 Aug 1937 in Pinehurst, Dooly Co., Georgia and died on 10 Aug 2018 in Gainesville, Alachua Co., Florida, at age 80.
Notes: Carol Boland Parrott, 80 of Lake City, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018, at the North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. She was born in Pinehurst, Georgia to the late William Killian Boland and Mattie Lucille McCall Boland. Mrs. Parrott had lived in Lake City for the past 48 years having moved here from Jacksonville. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Huntsville Baptist Church in Lake City. Mrs. Parrott was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Julian Parrott, Jr.; two brothers, Billy and Donny Boland; and one sister, Jerry Crews.
Survivors include her son, Troy Parrott; three daughters, Christine Esing (Mark), Sandra Kuhn (Rickey) and Julie Peterson all of Lake City; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Notes: LARGO - A 32-year-old Largo man was arrested early Saturday and accused of threatening a police officer, police said.
Larry Wayne Parrott, of 1212 Fourth Ave, SW was charged with aggravated assault. According to Largo Sgt. Ned Karantonia, police arrested Parrott after responding to a call near his home. Karantonia said when officers went to that call, Parrott came out of his house and began shouting obscenities at Largo officer William Ricchiuto.
Police tried to calm Parrott down, but were unsuccessful, Karantonis said. Police said Parrott then began waving an 8-inch buck knife and threatened to cut officer William Ricchiuto. Parrott was arrested after he folded the knife and put it in his pocket, Karontonis said. He was being held in Pinellas County jail in lieu of $2000 bail.

Larry Wayne Parrott, age 62, Passed away on September 10, 2018. He is survived by his Fiancé, Paula Payton, His Son, Chris Parrott, His Brother, Gary Parrott, his three grandchildren; Destany, Caden, and Collin. Larry fought for his country during the Vietnam Conflict, serving in the Army's 101st Airborne Division. He was a commercial Fisherman, and had a fleet of boats. he did a lot of construction work in the Clearwater and Largo area. Larry was an easy going guy who always had a smile on his face. He loved his grandkids. His last words to Paula were "I Love You". Larry had many friends, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Visitation will be held at National Cremation Society of Clearwater on Saturday December 1st from 11-12pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 12pm.
